Bag

Wild rose (rosa rugosa) is the inspiration for this centre-buttoned Harris Tweed bag.  This variety of rose grows in profusion against the drystane dykes that create the borders between gardens and machair and is particularly resistant to the biting salty winds that are such a feature of our part of the world. The bag closes with a hand-made button and the fully lined interior includes a velcro-closing secure pocket.  The strap is a hand-twisted cord.  This style of bag is available with both Celtic and floral designs and in any colour, though with the rose design, only certain background colours are appropriate.
