| Cushions These Harris Tweed cushions were commissioned as a wedding gift, the bride is Scottish and the groom from Yorkshire, hence the choice of Scotch thistle and the White Rose of York. Both these designs are ceated with Celtic knotwork - one single continuous line with no beginning or end crossing over itself in a regular "over and under" pattern. The small cushion was used to present another gift to the couple and comprises their initials and intertwined hearts constructed from Celtic knotwork, along with the date of the wedding. The cushions have a velcro closure concealed within one fringed edge to allow removal for cleaning. The pads are made from quality woven polycotton filled with polyester wadding. Pad size - 40cm square (16 inches) for the large cushions, 20cm (8 inches) for the small cushion. Cushions such as these can be made using any colours that work with the green and purple of the thistle and the green and white of the rose. Other simple knotwork designs are also available in any colour.
